Positions Available:

Massachusetts:

Experienced Field Services Technicians

Performs field work/activities related to the operations of the Field Services Group. Duties include acceptance and maintenance testing of low, medium and high voltage electrical equipment and apparatus to specified industry standards; data collection and reports; equipment repairs and modifications; control wiring and control troubleshooting, metering and associated instrumentation functions; electrical one-line and three-line diagrams; system surveys; and specialized construction services, as required.

Important criteria are: quality workmanship, pride in work performance, safety first attitude, team work ethic, company loyalty, and ensuring customer satisfaction. We require a can-do, motivated person with the ability to work both independently and as a team player. The candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively both written and oral.

A minimum of 3-5 years exp. performing related activities is required. An Associates Degree in electrical engineering a plus. Power systems industry exp. a plus. Must possess a valid driver's license and able to obtain a valid DOT medical certificate. This position requires some travel through the New England states.


Account Manager

We are seeking a qualified candidate for an Account Manager position that will be instrumental to the continued success of a rapidly growing electrical power services company.

The Account Manager is responsible for sales and customer account management functions in the New England states. Working with the Sales Manager, the Account Manager will develop a targeted sales plan and be responsible for achieving sales results. The Account Manager must be able to communicate professionally with customers to service their needs, develop relationships, identify potential projects and convert proposals to booked jobs.

The Account Manager will work with existing and prospective customers to analyze problems, define solutions and develop job requirements. You will be involved in job take-offs, estimating and pricing, and proposal issuance. The Account Manager will also work closely with Project Manager(s) in project planning, coordination, start-up, and status reviews.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience, a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred. Candidates must have both technical and selling experience. Proven communication skills are required. Computer skills are necessary; Microsoft Office and Excel is preferred. Candidates must have a comprehensive knowledge of electrical power systems including medium and high voltage applications. Experience with Generation Facilities and electrical testing is a plus.


Power Systems Engineer

A Power Systems Engineer at 3C provides applied engineering and technical consultation for electrical power generation, transmission, distribution, and utilization customers in the areas of power systems studies, power quality analysis, system design and installation, commissioning and startup, maintenance, repair and training. This includes:

  • Performing engineering and power systems studies (short circuit, load flow, coordination, arc flash and harmonic studies), field power quality measurements and audits, consulting and design services, troubleshooting, and problem solving relative to power distribution equipment and systems.
  • Preparing engineering reports for submission to customers based on system studies including analysis, findings, remarks, and recommendations.
  • Preparing and/or directing the preparations of drawings, plans, and specifications for new, retrofit, and/or modified power distribution systems and equipment including generation interconnection equipment and controls, transmission and distribution substations, and cable and raceway systems.
  • Working closely with Sales Engineers and Project Managers in reviewing proposals, interpreting design and performance specifications, project scope of work, preparing labor and equipment cost estimates, and project schedules and developing recommendations for modifications or adjustments as deemed necessary.
  • Serving as technical lead for special projects relating to Power, Harmonics, and Power Quality metering.
  • Assisting Operations by supplementing field engineering, testing, and commissioning capabilities.
Skills:
  • Bachelor or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering (concentration in electric power engineering preferred) and a minimum of 5 years experience performing activities relative to the position.
  • Computer literate with experience with SKM (or similar power systems analysis software) and Autocad preferred.
  • Familiar with low, medium, and high voltage electrical power system equipment and facilities including power and distribution transformers, switchgear and substation facilities, power cables, modern and traditional protective relays and systems, generators and excitation systems, and/or motors and motor controls.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player.
  • Organized, detail orientated, able to handle several medium to large projects concurrently, able to multi-task and handle tough situations.

Power / Industrial Plant Electrician

This position requires extensive knowledge, experience, and skills to perform maintenance, repairs, and modifications 480V to 15kV equipment. Position requires travel through the New England states. Must have a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license and must be able to obtain a valid DOT medical certificate. Prior experience in electrical schematic interpretation, high-voltage switching, power plant electrical maintenance, and infrared analysis is a plus.

We are looking for a can-do, motivated person with the ability to work both independently and as a team player. The qualified candidate must be willing to work on extended outages requiring overnight stays on occasion. A preferred applicant must exhibit pride in work performance, a safety first attitude, team work ethic, company loyalty, and customer satisfaction.
